Vacuum Frame Press
This is a vacuum press I built for pressing veneers and bent laminations. It can press panels up to 48" X 120". The frame and platen are counter weighted and mounted to the wall so it can be folded up against the wall when it is not in use.
This is a great design! I am a young belgian screenprinter looking to build myself a similar system, that is mounted to the wall in my studio. I would replace the bottom wood by a thick glass plate, because in screenprinting the upright position is not only usefull to save space, but also to transfer the image to the screens via lighting. Would it be possible to have a look at the plans of this great design? that would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
